I just bought a Fitbit Alta, fully charged it, followed the instructions to turn it on while it was still plugged in, and everything starts when it's plugged-in. However, when I disconnect from charging port cable, it turns off and won't turn back on.
I'm planning on returning it tomorrow if I can't get it resolved tonight.

Have you tried resetting it? I have an Alta HR and, when it was new, I had to reset it several times before it would work. I never had a problem with it after that.

Hi @KSPENCE-FB Welcome to the Community Forums!. @alexthecat It's great to see you around and thanks for the input!.
@KSPENCE-FB Thank you for restarting your Alta. I would like to confirm if when the Alta is on the charger, if you're able to see that it is charging correctly. You'll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on the screen. A fully charged tracker shows a solid battery icon. Are you able to see the solid battery icon?.
If you don't see the above, then please try to perform some basic troubleshooting steps for battery not charging by following the tips in the link below:
Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?
Keep me posted if the inconvenience persists.
