New Alta displays 'fitbit.com/setup' only.

My new Alta displays 'fitbit.com/setup' and does nothing else.  It has been charging for around an hour and the app is installed on my mobile.  Any ideas where I am going wrong?

Sorry, not enough information in your post. Assuming you have not done so you have to link your unit to the app. See instructions here:

Thank you wtksk8r.   I may have solved the problem.... another fitbit in the room appears to confuse things!  I'm going to try again from the start.
