Not charging correctly, now getting hot

So my Alta hr is just over 3 years old, and within the last few days it’s stopped charging a lot and losing its charge super fast.  I charged it last night and it died within an hour of my taking it off the charger (yes it was charging correctly).  Then this morning I charged it again and halfway through the day-dead.  Tried charging it at work and it wouldn’t charge.  Got home and charged it for an hour and a half and it died within an hour of being off the charger.  Plugged it back in and when I went to get it after an hour to go to bed it was hot to the touch and now it won’t turn on again.

 

Is it just time to give up and buy a new one?  I love this thing so much and I’m so sad to have to part with it!

I will be contacting customer support but I figured I would check if someone knew something first this way. Thank you so much for your non helpful comment though!
