Not receiving notifications

I am on my 3rd Fitbit in 2 years. 1st one (Alta) stopped working at 13 months. Made the mistake of getting an Alta HR. That one started not syncing at 11 months. Since it was under warranty I was able to get them to send me another refurbished one. That one lasted just 2 weeks. Long enough to get me past the warranty period. It works great, just doesn't give me notifications of calls or texts. I have tried uninstalling it and I can get it to work for a day then it stops working again. I get the hourly step notification but just not text or calls. I am running off a samsung galaxy. I am fed up with Fitbit products. Time to start saving up for another brand. The only feature I use is the call and text notification. Not having that working is critical to me.

Hello @G.Kristin, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device you're currently using? Also, when was the first time you experienced this issue? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Alta HR are correctly configured.

After verifying the above, please try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.

I am using a samsung galaxy S7 which is what I have had since before Fitbit number 1. I started noticing issues in November with it not connecting to my phone. Since it was close to warranty and given all the problem I dealt with on number 1, i called and they immediately offered to send me a replacement. While waiting for the replacement. I managed to keep it connected. I got another month out of it and it started acting up just before Christmas. I switched to the replacement one which worked great for a week. Now it's doing the same thing. I have no idea it's not connected as I get the hourly step reminders and my phone shows updated steps. I only know there is a problem when I get a call or text. I've found removing the app and re adding it then going through the set up steps works for a day or 2 then I'm back to not getting notifications again.
