5 days ago my fitbit started recording basic sleep patterns only. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling app and cleaning sensors. I'm wearing band exactly as I have for past year. This seemed to start with my last phone update. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I have a charge 3 that's doing same thing. Shows I'm in light sleep or awake, nothing else. Just started on Wednesday March 8th.

I have been having the same issue since April 2nd. I have also noticed my heart rate on my Alta HR is elevated much higher than previous readings. In fact my resting heart rate has went up 10 beats over the past couple of weeks. It appears many people are having similar issues.

Check under the graph of a day in question. Their should be a note about this nights sleep.

The first step is to check your app and see what, or if Fitbit knows why.
Here is an example.

Yes, I've checked that and it was no help. Thanks anyway. I'm wondering how to get support from fit it. They said they would contact me, but I've had no response from them.

I have an Alta HR and I’ve just had a week of simplified sleep data for the same reason (couldn’t get a consistent heart rate reading). Fitbit support only suggested the things I’d already tried (restart, band position etc.) My partner found this solution on the forum from 09-08-2017 (like looking for a needle in a haystack!) I tried it last night and it worked! Here goes: Turn off Bluetooth on phone, restart phone and turn Bluetooth back on, unpair Fitbit from account and then set it up again as a new device. I didn’t lose any data. Hope it works for you too!
