Recording active minutes AND exercise

I just started wearing my Fitbit again and am having an issue.

How do I have steps record as both active minutes AND exercise? I realized that active minutes were not being recorded when Fitbit added exercise from my synced Runkeeper. So I deleted those, and my activity is now listed in active minutes but not consistently as exercise.

For example, each day this week I’ve taken a walk of over 2 miles. I have various active minutes for each day, all over 30. Only Monday shows “walk” as exercise.

Is there a way to fix this?

Active minutes @Akbphl are not always exercise and most exercises are not all active minutes.

Your Alta has the ability to auto detect and record things like walk, run, bike, elliptical and a few others.

You really should not have to do anything but wear the tracker for a run or walk to be recorded.
