The app display suddenly changed format.  The main display area which was ‘steps’ has disappeared.  Just a list now which I cannot alter and no ‘step count’.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared. To change again your main goal to steps, I recommend you to check the information that's specified on our help article: Which daily stat can I set as my main goal on my Fitbit device? and let me know if the issue persists.
