Hi everyone,

I just received my Alta after pre-ordering.  I am currently in the process of setting it up using the android app.  Right now it is not seeing it while my bluetooth is on.  The first screen says Power Up, and it is searching for it but does not find it.  After that, the Not Working? screen comes up, and you have the option to try again.  After selecting try again, It then says Bluetooh Issues.  This is where you can restart Bluetooth, which I've done multiple times already.  I know my bluetooth works on my phone because I have it setup to work with my headphones with no problems.  I have it securely connected to the USB pin connecter which is then connected to my PC.  It is charging so I know there is connectivity.  I've restarted my phone a few times, but to no avail.  I never had any problem connecting with my HR.  Has anyone else experienced this with the Alta, does anyone know of anything that I could do to fix this issue.

Hey Erick, 

Yeah ultimately restarting everything solved it.  This includes the Alta,  my phone,  and the pc.   After a while it recognized it and the rest is history. 

I had the same problem with the HR 2.   All it takes is some patience,  and some  restarting.

Had much the same issues with my charge 2 a couple of weeks ago, a week in. Finally figured out how to restart and that did the trick. My wife's Alta got here yesterday. Connect and the Win 10 app do NOT play well. Finally got it synced to her Samsung Galaxy 5 and it is working. Win 10 is still goofy. My untried solution is to uninstall Win 10 app, BT seems to be a problem with Win 10. The dongle is seemingly working so there may be hope in that Connect will hopefully work.

My wife got 3 "bangle" bands, different metals/looks. Just another bangle on her wrist.

I am having the same problem with the Alta I have bought for my wife. This is the second one as I returned the first for the same reason. The Tracker will not pair with the device. Not sure what lease to do. Any advise out there?

Are you using the app to setup your tracker to the a count @DeepsBilly, and not the Bluetooth settings with the phone?

Once the tracker us connected to your account tye app will then pair the tracker, if it needs to.

 

There are several steps needed to setup a tracker, at which step does tye setup process fail?

Having great difficulty setting up also. I purchased my fit but yesterday and can not set up to my iPhone 6. I have tried resetting the device, turned my blue tooth on and off, re installed the app, basically everything and I can't seem to to set it up to my phone. Please some advice would be great!!

Did you put it on to charge? My warranty module had to charge about 18 hours.

No it didn't charge for 18 hours but for overnight I thought that would be
good enough I will try this before I send it back. This is extremely
frustrating.

You can always call tech/customer support. My charge 3 went out after about three weeks.

Down load the software and then plug the dongle into your computer. ​

This is the only one that worked for me.  A replacement Alta was sent to me and it wouldn't lair.  I followed these instructions and updated the software on the PC and it updated the new Fitbit and dongle.  Only after I did that step could I then pair with my phone!  But now it works!

Charge 2 press button on side, Alta there is a button on charger. 5-10 seconds,

I'm having the same problems. I've never trying to set my Alta up for weeks now and it'll connect, then stop or say there was a connection issue. I've tried my android, iPad, laptop, and a desktop. It will not connect. I've contacted Fitbit, tried everything they told me to do via email, and yet it still will won't connect. Was wondering if you or anyone figured something out?
