I have fitbit HR since May 2015 but lost cord so has not been charged since Oct 2015.  Bought new cord now how do I reset the time /date on my fitbit?

Have you synced the fitbit since you charged it? It should reset the date and time whenever it syncs based on the time on the device you are syncing with.
