My Fitbit shows 7.0K or  8.0K as oppose to 500 steps or 900 steps.  How can I reset Fitbit to show the number of steps ONLY. The Fitbit will indicate once I reach 10,000, steps but I would like to know the numbers of steps I have reached or how many more I need to reach and exceed the daily goal of 10,000.

That K is thousands of steps; i.e. 7.2K = 7,200 steps because the display is not wide enough to show full number.  You can see full number of steps if you change the clock display to oriented the other direction.
