I recently got a Samsung A50 phone. I have tried to connect my fitbit alta to the phone but it isn't working. Does Fitbit support the use of a Samsung A50 and if not when will it be supported?

Maybe I sould have checked BEFORE buying Fitbit Charge 4, that I could not use my Samsung A50 with it.....but I actually thought it would work, since it´s not a phone that just got on the marked, but still a new phone with the latest android and so on....but no.. it does not work..and people have had issues with this for over a YEAR.. omfsm!
But then, I could use my laptop! The device syncs with the app on the computer after I entered the code that showed up on the Charge 4 screen.
Then the app says: All set! woho! but then a notification comes up: Device does not support this setting....
Why is it able to connect, but still no function? In my Fitbit app it says: Charge 4, fully charged battery, synced today 13 mins ago.
The device still only show the logo and www.fitbit.com/setup scrolls over the screen.
Whyyy?...

This is BS. My wifes phone and watch. It worked but it's wonky. It fails to connect. It won't sync. I have to keep resetting it and fiddling with it. Get your sh1t together!

Years later, and the problems with the A50 are getting worse, not better. Please let us know the status of this issue - does fitbit have any intent to fix it? Very frustrating, so I hope help is on the way.

Hello,
These posts have not been updated for quite a while. I checked the compatibility web page and Samsung does not appear on that list at all. Is it safe to buy a FitBit if I have the Samsung A50 now?

Hi Wendy,
The Samsung A50 is no longer on the list of unsupported devices. Can you confirm that FitBit believes it will work?
Thanks!
