Is it possible to track a lost/stolen device if someone else tries to activate it and use or sync it?
Additionally, is it possible to deactivate a lost/stolen device so that someone who finds it CANNOT activate and use it given the high cost of the product and replacement?

Not sure how you'd go about checking for a lost item. If you are on Facebook or other social media, you could ask people if there was a Fitbit found that might be yours.

I have found a FitBit. I'd like to return it to the owner. I had a friend charge it up. How do I now find it's owner? I posted it on Facebook in a few different lost and found forums but so far no replies. Is there a way FitBit can pair with the device and then contact the owner and let them know to contact me to get it back?

Hi @EllQue these devices pair to an email address and there is no way Fitbit has of finding who owns it. You can get with customer support and sometimes they are able to reunite the owner with the Fitbit. Their phone number is (877)623-4997 between the hours of 4am-8pm PST Mon-Fri, and 6am-5pm PST on weekends, if you're in the USA.

yeah i got my fitbit versa 2 stolen from me never got it back maybe you could give it to me it helped me out alot which fitbit is it?

I have been a Fitbit user since the beginning. Many have been broke or lost along the way and I have had to replace them. Mine was recently stolen during an auto break in. After reading the exchange and lack of care for the protection and privacy of an individual’s investment and loyalty to Fitbit, I’m done with this company. It is finally enough to push me to an Apple Watch. It is not their fault it was stolen (nor mine), but the utter disregard for protecting their consumers feels like gross negligence.
