Perhaps I'm wrong in what I'm about to post but I don't think so.... I have been a staunch Fitbit user/proponent for numerous years now... in fact, just bought a new 'Inspire' for a family member's birthday but think I'll return it. Because, I am now, apparently, not able to set up my current Fitbit Alta HR on my new computer. Please, if I'm wrong, I am most happy to apologize ... however, everytime I go to the setup site to try to download the app to my new computer, it does not work. So... off to buy from their competitor!

Hello @CAKing, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums, sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for the details that were shared in your post, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check all the information that's specified on: How do I set up my Fitbit device? to check if all the requirements are correctly configured to setup your device with your new computer.
Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Thanks for being part of the Fitbit family.
@Odyssey13 Your support is always appreciated.
I'll be around if you need anything else, please keep me posted.
