I've been handed an Alta by a friend who seems to think I'm some kind of 'computer whisperer' and that I can make it work.
Symptom: Charge state has gone down from full to medium in 2 hours of sitting on the couch. Pretty much all options that would cause comms traffic are off.
Question: Firmware is 21.21.40.2 - seems that was released over a year ago? is there newer firmware? I don't see any 'update' button in the Android app (installed today). Do I need to wait a while for fitbit to end it to me?
Any help/advice appreciated!

For the battery problem
Please clean the contacts

Then Do a Restart

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

The Version displayed on my device display and in the surge app is: "21.21.40.2"
Yet the fitbit website refers to "21.40.2" - Is there a difference?
