every time I start the fitbit App I get "Bonding failed restart app try again" and once in a while I get "Do you want to sync fitbit to this device?" Connection failed.. Any ideas what is going on?
Hi @Mrzocor, it's nice to see you again in our Community Forums. I am sorry for the delayed response.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the error message you see when you open the Fitbit app. I would like to confirm if you're using several devices to sync your tracker? If you receive notifications from your phone on your Fitbit device, you'll need to disable the Bluetooth bond between your phone and Fitbit device before using a different phone (Open the Bluetooth settings on the phone and unpair the tracker from the list). For more information about syncing, please see this help article: How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
Please keep me posted, I'll be around.

Best Answerit isn't on my phone, it is on my laptop I have my Alta listed on 2 different devices. My laptop, and my tablet. Should I delete the alta I have on my tablet, because I don't have the dongle on that one.
Best AnswerHi @Mrzocor, thank you for your reply.
I appreciate the additional details. You can remove the tracker from the Bluetooth settings in order to disable the Bluetooth bond if you're not using the second device for syncing.
I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I am sorry to hear the issue persists, thank you for your time and efforts. Please let me know the model and the operating system of your device which you use for syncing. I will be glad to investigate.
Looking forward to your response.

Fitbit and Microsoft are working together to improve Bluetooth and syncing with Fitbit devices and Windows 10. I am sorry for any trouble. Thank you for your understanding while we work to improve your experience.

Best AnswerYes, and has been since I got my Fitbit Charge 3 two years ago. And yes, doing all the tricks they suggest helps and the sync will work for a few weeks (or sometime days) but invariably it always returns. Not just on my laptop. Syncing with my iPhone constantly experience failures. It's apr for the course with bluetooth. And yes, most times the "tricks" they suggest to use will work. Sometimes immediately and other times after a couple of tries. It's annoying to say the least.
It's not my laptop or iPhone. It's the Fitbit. But I am so used to this happening, that I just shrug, employ one or two of the tricks and move on. I like my Fitbit. Been using one since 2013 (a couple of Ones, a Flex, then a Charge 2 and then this Charge 3). It's not worth complaining about it; if you like your Fitbit(s), you learn to live with it. 🙂
Best AnswerI get the bonding failed error too. It happens quite often. I have turned off the bluetooth on phone like I normally do. Never had any problems with this yesterday and now today its a problem. Can't update any of my challenges.
This is the exact computer I have--the Inspiron 11 3000 series and I keep getting the "bonding failed" message.
