I haven't used my fitbit for a few months, charged it up and was working fine at first and then I went to update the app on my iPhone and sync the fitbit to the app and noticed it wasn't connecting. I then noticed an error message of some kind that looks like an exclamation point. I've already done some research of what causes this (battery exhaustion, and need to reset the fitbit) I've already let it sit and charge for a few days now on different modes (wall plug in and connected to my computer), I've also tried resetting it too with no luck. Please help! 🙂
Charging wise, it is possible your cord to charge your alta is malfunctioning, therefore not charging your fitbit. Syncing wise, were you using a sync dongle to connect your fitbit to your computer wirelessly? One minor thing that is highly unlikely but possible, is when you charged your fitbit for several days, you could have burned it out. According to Fitbit, you should charge your fitbit for 1-2 hours, and it will be fully charged. This issue is very rare, and many people do this without knowing with no issues, so I wouldn't worry. Did the fitbit vibrate when you restarted the fitbit? Occasionally, I will try to restart, press the button 3 times, but too slow or fast, and it doesn't work. You may also want to check and make sure the alta is actually attached to the port on the cord. Sometimes, the alta will attach and look like it is connected but actually not. Hope this helps!
