My Alta hr has a very inaccurate sleep tracker. For example, it registered me sleeping for 2h while I was awake reading in bed last night; it also had me in deep sleep while I was awake in bed (quite alert) the other morning. Has anyone experienced similar issues? I wear it sufficiently tight so it doesn't move when I shake my wrist

I’ve had the same problem for a couple weeks now. For example tonight I slept from about 11-8am and it recorded that I slept 1 hour from 11-12.

I totally agree. Mine sporadically either misses half my sleep, or breaks it into two or more segments, with hours missing in the middle. Other nights it does fine, so I have no idea how to correct this. Fitbit makes it nearly impossible to find tech support, so I guess we're stuck with it.
Maybe now that Google holds the reins it'll get better?
(Or would I have a better chance of meeting Santa?)

Just to follow up, I spent weeks emailing tech support. Following their suggestions, I tried:
Updating the app
Updating the firmware
Switching wrists
Restarting
Changing the Sleep sensitivity setting
Changing wristbands
(That one seemed ludicrous to me, but I was desperate)
The result? Each time it helped for 1-2 nights, then it was right back to the same old crap.
This is clearly either a software flaw or a design flaw, or both. This is my second Fitbit purchase, and I think I'm done.
