Update: You should be able to sync manually and we are continuing to work to get syncing back to normal. Thanks again for your patience.
Update: Setup and pairing issues should be resolved, however, some may still have issues syncing. Our team is working hard to get this resolved as soon as possible.
Hi Everyone!
I've merged several posts together. We are aware of an issue with seeing your account data, signing up and syncing in the Fitbit app. Some may see error 503. This is affecting both Android and iOS. Our team is working to resolve this as quickly as possible, and your activity is still being counted. Thanks for your reports and patience.

Best AnswerSo I just went into my Fitbit Dashboard on my desktop and it shows that I have taken 428 steps today and that my device was last synced at 11:18 am this morning (the last time my Weight Watchers app received any information from my Fitbit Device) and yet both my wristband and app both show that I have taken 1079 steps ... so is it syncing or not? I am also receiving all notifications.
Edit:
Just found this on Fitbit's Twitter account ...

Best Answeryes, same issue... Fitbit really do have a hardware issue. I can’t find a solution after multiple resets, to r to get an alternate device!!
I have an IPhone 11 and the fitbit app will not sync. I see everyone else is having the same problem. Hope it is fixed soon, as I use this app to help with my insurance fees through my place of employment.

Best AnswerNot syncing properly now 😞
Best AnswerI have been unable to sync and refresh the app/device.
Here’s what I did:
- reset Bluetooth settings
- reset the watch
- reset the phone
- turned off wifi
- used WiFi to sync
They all lead to the same result: Failed to sync device.
Any other ideas? Anyone else have this issue?
My icons, challenges are disappearing and reappearing too.
Best Answeri also have the same issue
app and website show last sync 3.15pm and 4000 steps but wristband shows 12500 correctly. V frustrating and i have a new phone so thought that was the issue
Hoping it's just some kind of server issue and that they are working on it. Keeping my eye on the app store for an update too. Hope it's fixed soon.
Best AnswerSame here, annoyingly, as per the advice you always get from Fitbit, I deleted the device the app and restarted everything... and now I can’t even pair the Fitbit, let alone sync it 🙁
Best AnswerI’m seriously considering returning mine. This seems to be an ongoing issue and I remember the app had issues last year when I got my other Fitbit. Doesn’t seem to have gotten much better. This is not what I spend almost $200 for. ☹️
