Update: You should be able to sync manually and we are continuing to work to get syncing back to normal. Thanks again for your patience. 


 

Update: Setup and pairing issues should be resolved, however, some may still have issues syncing. Our team is working hard to get this resolved as soon as possible.

I've merged several posts together. We are aware of an issue with seeing your account data, signing up and syncing in the Fitbit app. Some may see error 503. This is affecting both Android and iOS. Just now noticed that even though the device still says it is Failing to Sync, it is in fact, syncing. It is even now syncing with my Weight Watchers app and has sent the correct data to that app which it had not done for the past five hours. The Dashboard information through my desktop now also matches what is on my app, where an hour ago they did not match. So they must be getting somewhere with the issue.

I have waited years to buy a new fitbit.  I checked out the site and signed up ages ago, in hopes that I would get one some day.  I finally splurged and got one;  It arrived today, and I can't use it.  It won't pair with my phone.  I tried on my computer.  When it asks what fitbit device I have, my inspire HR is not even on the list to choose from.  

 

If I'm being honest, I went from elation (when I opened the box), to regretting the purchase.

Couldn’t sync Charge 3.  Tried all options, including reloading.  Now can’t reconnect Charge 3.

Looks like finally it is working now. Bought a new versa2 today and after waiting on it to pair for 3-4 hours, it finally paired it and then the software updated, etc etc. Back on track now.

I had been trying for nearly 3 hours and I have never had issues with the App.. But all normal now..

Silly me , I did the same thing.  I deleted from my app and now I can't add it back to my apo.  Big mistake to buy this for myself...

I spent two hours on this problem, as well as connection problems with FitBit (server errors 500 and 503), with the process seeming at times to almost complete before "Something went wrong, etc." with "Abort" being the only choice. I was close to returning this thing that was insanely difficult to set up.

 

Until I remembered one more device that *may* have had bluetooth turned on. And I turned that off.

 

My Versa 2 is now set up, after immediately communicating with the server and pairing as soon as I turned off the offending superfluous bluetooth connection on the device other than my phone.

 

Hope this helps someone.

I did the same thing now I can't add it back, get it to set up , pair with my blue tooth and it's just extremely frustrating.

That was mine as well! I have an Android system phone, hopefully they fix it, sounds like a server type issue

My charge 2 received all my texts and calls. My new Versa 2 wont sync anything
