Ability to set custome heartzone and have it effect on functionality

Dear Fitbit/Google,
It's disappointing that you can't set each heart zone and have the ability to tell the app to inform you when you are below certain heart zone and when you are above. Each person has individual parameters that should be adjustable and generic population setting is not good enough unless you want to be a cheap app with cheap hardware.

Any decent app and watch can do it so it is a real oversight. If that does not change in the future i will switch to competition and ditch Fitbit and pixel watch and never look back.

How does this address the problem with fit bit not being able to set custom heart zones and notifications about them?

Hi, @GingerNaTT , thanks your feedback, I believe the article addresses your problem -

What happens when I receive a heart-rate notification?

When your Fitbit device detects your heart rate goes above or below your personal heart rate threshold while you’re inactive, you receive a notification on your device. Tap Open, and then tap the notification in the Fitbit app to learn more about your data and complete a survey where you log any potential factors, medications, and symptoms. You can use the information you log in the survey to track your heart health trends and share it with your healthcare provider.

How do I change my heart-rate notification thresholds?

To start, your thresholds are based on your age and typical resting heart rate. To adjust your thresholds:

  1. From the Today tab Gr4ndp4_0-1737828868236.png

in the Fitbit app on your phone, tap the Devices Gr4ndp4_1-1737828868239.png

     your device.
  2. Tap High & Low Heart Rate.
  3. Turn the toggle to turn on Custom in the High heart rate or Low heart rate section.
  4. Tap Threshold and choose a new threshold.

To use your default thresholds, turn off the custom threshold.

Let us know how you get on.

That's for heart rate that is set by the app based on your age. If you set a custom zone you don't get notifications.

Hi, @GingerNaTT, I have not tried setting custom thresholds but the article seems clear, have you turned off the default threshold?

Let us know by posting here again.

In the app it states that you can set custom heart zones but if you do that fit bit won't notify you during excersizes. That's the problem i have with the app. It's in the post itself. Please read carefully before responding.

" have not tried setting custom thresholds" - as you said yourself you don't know what you are talking about so i would kindly ask you to leave the thread and don't spam it with things that are not relevant to the topic.
