I have had my Fitbit Charge 2 since January and I have had no problems up until now. I have noticed that my active minutes have rocketed up within the past few days when there have been no changes in my routine or heart rate. This has also effected the number of calories I have burned so I am getting a total false reading. I have restarted my Fitbit numerous times over the past few days and I can't seem to solve the issue. I have changed my auto-exercise recognition around (walking from 15mins to 30mins etc) but nothing seems to be making the slightest bit of difference. I even tested it by taking it off my wrist for an hour and placing it on the floor. During this time it added an extra 13 active minutes when it hadn't even moved! I am becoming increasingly frustrated by this as it's not doing the job I bought it for. Does anyone have any ideas how I can resolve this issue?? Thanks in advance!!! 🙂

Hello @KristinaT, let me give you a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Active minutes works in a different way, as it wont necessarily match the total time of your exercise.
Active minutes are achieved based on the intensity you invest on each of your activities. If you are able to maintain a high pace during a workout, you will achieve more active minutes in comparison to a low pace exercise that will result in less active minutes. In other words when the amount of active minutes increase is when you have a higher amount of steps in a short period of time. The step graph accounts the amount of steps for 15 minutes interval. So if you have more steps than you got with a regular walk you will achieve more active minutes.
If your routine has not changed at all and you have tried to restart your tracker several times, please try both recommendations from my friend @MarreFitbit in the following thread.
See you around and let me know how it goes.
