I was very excited to see that the Fitbit app on the Pixel Watch has a lot of exercises! Including skiing/snowboarding.
However, I just tried the skiing/snowboarding mode and it has a fatal flaw: it doesn't recognize when you are riding a lift and it counts it as actual activity. This is baffling.
I cannot believe developers didn't think about "pause recording when gaining vertical at certain speed" - all skiing apps do this. Even the very basic "Alpine Snow" app on my old Versa was able to track when I was on a lift (it then recorded my activity as mountain biking but whatever).
So when I see my snowboarding exercise on my Android Fitbit app I see the speed of the lift is counted as my actual speed lol as if I were running up the mountain straight line at 30 mph.
