Dare I ask if there are any compatibility issues between 10 and the Fitbit app?

Mine hasn't been working for almost a week. It started out working fine on Android 10, then suddenly I've lost all, including Fitbit's own notifications on my Ionic.
Having had a quick look on their compatible devices list, which I see is a lot smaller than it used to be, it appears they only support quite old Google devices. Handy
I also notice a big banner across the top of the page telling us about the 'known' issue with ios 13 and notifications that they are working hard to sort.
So as usual the Crapple Iclone users have priority.
Time for a change of smartwatch me thinks. Any suggestions?
There have been numerous updates now, and none of them have shown any improvement. Based on the troubleshooting steps everyone has taken, it seems like some sort of issue with the Android 10 update to the Android Messages app. No one from Fitbit will validate this assumption or provide a meaningful update, so at this point the only "solution" is to download this 3rd party notification app.
Best AnswerI contacted Fitbit. Embarrassingly, the notifications had somehow got turned off on the Ionic itself. I have no idea how though. Cringe
Best AnswerThe issue still persists. I tried EVERYTHING possible, then finally called Fitbit customer service and I knew more than the help desk guy. I see now that everyone is having the same issue so I'm going Fitbit fixes it soon. I receive all notifications from my Pixel 2XL, phone calls, calendar, all other apps I've pointed to it, but NOT Google Messages. And my app is up to date (I check daily because this was a big stunning point for me on the Versa).
Thank you!! Fit Notifications seems to have fixed the issue with not receiving Google Messages on my Versa! Annoying that Fitbit can't just get their act together and fix it themselves rather than being another app to do it for them
I started a new thread, but anyone else have an issue with their Fitbit (mine is Charge 2) not keeping correct time? I can lose 2 minutes in 12 hours if I don't manually force a sync.
Best AnswerStill does not work..... it looks like the Fitibit app still doesn't work properly with Android 10.
At this point, maybe Fitbit needs to hire some new App developers. Clearly, the current ones have no clue what they need to do to fix the app.
Sounds like the new iOS based Fitbit app isn't working either. Great job Fitbit! Get some smarter people on board to get your apps functional again!!
There's no way I'll ever put a buggy, unpredictable, data hogging, battery eating, poorly developed, pay walled, phone corrupting Fitbit app on my perfectly functioning, expensive pixel phone running Android 10. That would be like sticking AutoZone parts on your Ferrari :-[
I use an old phone running an older, VERY RELIABLE Fitbit app version that works perfectly to sync my trackers. Once my current trackers die I'll be moving to another brand of tracker 😉
Hi All,
Tried and confirmed! Finally, my appreciation for my Fitbit is coming back. All notifications, specially the text notifications have returned in full force. Let's not jinx it, but it seems once you update the Fitbit app to version 3.8 it has fixed the notifications issue. *Fingers Crossed* Here's to hoping it's a permanent fix.
Best AnswerIonic and Android 10 on Pixel 3XL. The call notifications still work and the fitness data syncs to the phone app just fine, but, every morning I have to reconnect to the Ionic (Classic) in Bluetooth in order for text notifications and music controls to work.
