Dare I ask if there are any compatibility issues between 10 and the Fitbit app?

I can also confirm with Fitbit App version 3.8 that call and text notifications are working again on my Pixel 3XL running the latest October Android 10 OS.

I take it back.....text notifications are no longer working with App version 3.8 for me. About to give up.

Is there a way to buy a non-Fitbit product and have the steps data sync with the Fitbit website?

Text notifications on my Flex 2 / Pixel 2 are also either not working or working sporadically since updating to version 3.9.1 on Friday, 11/1.

I also had this issue and it was driving me crazy for the longest time. This is what I did and it seems to be working again. First in Android's Settings, go to "Reset options" and click "Reset app preferences." Then, go into the Fitbit app, click on your profile picture, and then on your Fitbit device. Once in there, a popup asked me if I wanted to link my Fitbit with the app. I tapped on yes, and next thing I know, my wrist has been buzzing again with text notifications!

Note: I don't think it asked me to link my Fitbit right away after resetting app preferences, and it might have been after a phone restart that things started working again. I'm sorry I don't have more concrete details about all the steps I took. I was just poking around, not expecting anything I tried to work since I had already tried all the standard options like repairing the Fitbit to the phone via bluetooth, and nothing had worked...until now.

When will MobileTrack be compatible with Google Pixel 4? MobileTrack is not showing in the device set-up list.

Issue still isn't fixed for me. Syncing is spotty at best. Most of the time it can't find the watch. Pixel XL worked great with the charge 2 for years. After Android 10 is when it started Figured my Fitbit was dying so just picked up a Versa  2 on sale. Exact same issue as with the Charge 2 Glad I didn't throw it away. But since the same issues persist I'll just return the versa 2. Can't deal with this hassle and clearly Fitbit has no desire to fix the issue judging by the near total lack of responses here. I'll return the other one I had just bought for my dad for Xmas too.

And yes, latest version of the app and both watched updated to latest firmware. The software version isn't the issue. Something changed with pixels after Android 10 in regards to pixels and Fitbit can't be bothered to figure it out and fix it I guess. Which is a shame given Google just bought them

The last app update pretty much fixed the sync with my Charge 2 and Pixel 3 (non-XL). What I do still have some issues with is the Charge 2 losing time. This isn't an issue with regular sync - or at least it syncs often enough to not notice (I wouldn't notice 30 seconds).

I suggest restarting the Fitbit (put on charger, hold button for 5 seconds and release) and restarting Bluetooth on your phone (BT off, reboot phone, BT on) AND deleting re-adding the Fitbit to the app.

This has cleared up most of my issues with the exception of the occasional time loss.

Hope this helps a wee bit. The devices are too expensive to just give up on (IMHO).

I updated to Android 10 and my new Inspire stopped working altogether and I couldn't even get it to sync with the phone.  Now my old Alta is also unable to be found.

Mine is still temperamental, there seems to be some sort of link using NFC, whenever I use Google Pay it seems to knock Bluetooth functionality out. Might just be a coincidence but switching both NFC and Bluetooth off and restarting Bluetooth seems to kick things back in to life, at least until for a while

My Charge 2 and Pixel 3 with Android 10 have gotten along better lately and I haven't had issues with the Charge 2 losing time.

An update to the Fitbit app (Android) installed on my phone earlier today - maybe it will help some of you with outstanding issues.

I have a pixel 3 and had the same issue.  I only get calendar notifications, no texts and no phone call info after updating to Android 10.  Checked compatibility and it's supposed to be compatible.  Tried turning off bluetooth, etc. etc. nothing works

Mine works now...

1) Ensure Fitibit app is up to date on your phone

2) Ensure firmware is updated on your Fitbit. This is done from the FB app.

3) Turn of Bluetooth on phone

4) Restart phone

5) Turn on Bluetooth

6) Restart Fitbit (attach to charger, depress Fitbit button 5 seconds and release - if you don't see the FB logo, retry)

The only issue I currently have is the FB loses time on occasion. IDK if it really makes any difference, but I restart my Fitbit every couple of weeks when I charge it (no, the charge does not last 2 weeks).

Best of luck!

Steve

Just an update, since the android 10 ui2.0 update text notifications are not working as of January 2020. Fully exhausted all troubleshooting via chat support and was advised this is impacting multiple users.

How do you identify that patch level? I applied the January update, but I cannot match it with the update info you supplied. I am still receiving notifications. Pixel 3; Fitbit Charge 2

Pixel 4XL with Android 10 and an Ionic.  Phone and other notifications fine.  No messages notifications after rebooting/resyncing/etc...

You're on different hardware than me - Pixel 3, Charge 2 - but mine did finally work. I believe it was a combo of restarting the Fitbit and "recycling" Bluetooth on the phone.

To restart my Charge 2, you put it on the charger and hold the button 5 seconds. Release and you should see the Fitbit logo. Your device could very well be different.

As to Bluetooth on the phone, disable/turn off Bluetooth on phone. Restart phone and re-enable Bluetooth.

Best of luck!

Did you ever figure out this problem? I just got a pixel 3a today and have the same exact issue

Hi

yes I followed the instructions on a previous reply, which included turning off blue tooth, then turning it on.  and re-set the fitbit.  I think I may have also re-started my phone as well.  I do not remember the order, but I did things a few times with the phone first, then re-set the fit bit.  that worked for me.  To re-set your fitbit press and hold the button on the tracker until you see the fitbit logog and it vibrates - on the hr 2 it was supposedly 4 seconds on the newer hr3 or 4 it says 8 seconds.

I had to return my Inpsire because it never worked.  My Ulta finally reconnected after some time.  I've had to turn off the Blutooth, turn it back on, and on occasion reset the entire connectivity with my phone, but it works most of the time again now.
