I've had an issue for a few months now where my logged food doesnt accurately show up on the main screen icon, and instead have to open the full food log to view my calories.
Starting yesterday, the food log is not displaying my calories at all after adding them. Hours later, they might show up, along with all my other attempts to log my food. It's been a mess, and I've had to resort to just writing it all down.
Customer Support told me to log out, restart my phone, log back in, and try logging. That didn't work. Then they said to uninstall the app and reinstall the app. That didn't work either. I'm still having this issue today, and it's quite frustrating because it's like the main thing I use this app for.
Is this some bug that just needs addressed in an update? My app is up to date, having an update done two days ago. Anyone else having this issue?
Edit: I would like to add that this only seems to affect the quick calories input. Any specific measured food I add seems to show right up, but since I use quick calories throughout most of the day, I cant accurately track my food anymore.

In my time using Fitbit, it's been utterly flawless ...
... Until about a week, maybe two ago... Now my Android app refuses to log food, at first I thought it was me causing an error by putting an ampersand in the text field of 'brand' when adding a new food (Marks & Spencer exists...)
But now, even just adding food via search, it puts the entry on screen, but the Kcals arent added and if I check using the god awful windows app I see none of what I've entered has actually been logged. I've reinstalled it, and it appeared to get worse and now just use the Windows App, which is terrible, can't enter decimal places and cant even enter numbers for number of portions / grams / oz .. on a computer... with literal dedicated number keys I can't do the most basic thing! But hey, at least unlike my Android app... it works.
I'm becoming very frustrated by this as I use FitBit to help me maintain my diet due to heart problems and although it's a trivial matter, for me it's actually been an important part of my daily routine.
The 'best answer' (now very old as I write this) suggests they'll be rolling out (already rolled out?) an update to 'fix' the issue... smh 😠

I have not seen the promised app update yet, and I'm about ready to give up. Some people say they've gotten an update and it's worse than the previous version. Although I'm hopeful that what they've received is just maybe a delayed roll-out of the same version the rest of us are currently having problems with. No one who has said they got an update has mentioned a version number, so who knows. The version I'm currently having trouble with is 3.59.1 which was updated on May 19.

Same here 😞 Really frustrating and nobody seems to be able to solve it.
When this will be released?

Fitbit refuses to give the courtesy of a time frame. Honestly, it doesn't matter to me so much how long it'll take, so long as I know how much longer I'm going to have to deal with this issue. I am a paying Premium customer, and am starting to regret that decision.

I received the first update in May. That is when the problems started. I received an update on 6/7 : *bug fixes, performance improvement, and new on-wrist set up screen for Android version 3.60 (20263717)
The problems persist, Support advised uninstall/reinstall which wiped calorie data back to May 19!

App update I got June 1st is 3.60 (20263717). Calorie tracking issues are still there. 😒😒 It did fix some lag time issues I was having with the sleep logs and overall faster functioning, but those things weren't really bothering me much. The calorie problem is a significant issue and annoyance

Thank you Sheshesh and LovelyShannon. Sounds like an update is rolling out then... and from your earlier post, it sounds like it doesn't fix the problem. That is very unfortunate for all of us. So just to keep a summary:
3.59.1 - has the food tracking issue
3.60 - has the food tracking issue
Anyone have a later version than those?

I've just had a twitter message back from them regarding this issue, they are aware of the issues and are working on a fix, apologies but no idea of a time frame.

I got exactly the same answer just now, at least they're being honest and consistent, keep smiling folks

At least they're not under the delusion that 3.60 fixed the issue.

I've been logging food through the website on my laptop for the last week. That at least seems to work, but is very inconvenient since I don't have my laptop with me all day long. And it's much nicer to just scan a barcode on my phone to have it enter the data. I guess I won't hold my breath since they can't even give us an idea of when to expect a fix, but I'm still anxiously awaiting it.

I've did delete the app, reinstall and restarted my phone.. It seemed to work properly again after that, until this morning. Same issue. I do wonder if the last fitbit app update is causing this. Hope they get this sorted soon as its very annoying!

The app has been faulty for quite some time now despite an update at the start of June. It doesn't seem to be able to add up. The only way to add calories seems to be to add up separately and use the 'quick add' function. Very disappointing.

I noticed the same issue. On the dashboard, the "Start logging your food" shows no calories in. On the next screen, the bar graph showing calories in is at 0. Each individual day shows the calories in but when you tap on the day, the calories in shows 0. I also lost the most recent foods and most of my customers foods (I have a lot). I deleted the app on my Samsung and reinstalled. Everything showed on the app on my iPad but now that I check it, it only shows to Tuesday (I reinstalled the app on Tuesday).

I meant custom foods . Autocorrect!!

I have reproed the following twice in a row. Android app build version 3.59.1
1. Log food calorie input.
2. Notice the dashboard's calorie input display updates properly.
3. Notice the detailed calorie in vs out displays update properly.
4. Create a new custom food via Log Food -> Custom -> +Add Custom Food
5. Save the new custom food
6. Log another food calorie input
7. Notice the dashboard's calorie input display not not update.
8. Notice the detailed calorie in vs out displays do not update.
9. Log in to the fitbit.com web dashboard.
10. Log another food calorie input.
11. Notice the web dashboard's calorie input displays update properly.
Waiting does not solve the problem. I waited up to 8 hours before.
The only solution I could find was to uninstall the Android phone app, reboot the phone, and then reinstall the phone app.
I was then able to log food like normal.
Also, at this point, I was able to fully reproduce the above bug sequence again.

I am having issues with the Fitbit app on my Android since updating to the new version 3.59.1
All of these functions had been working perfectly before I updated to this latest version.
I have tried everything to fix (turning phone off/on, uninstall/re-installing Fitbit app)- nothing works.
Help!
