This has been my life for the last few days, restarting phone, restarting fitbit....
Anyway, finally today, I disabled the notification (transliteration option), restarted the fitbit (settings on fitbit then shutdown), unpaired and re-paired. Somehow then it found that there was a new update. Currently on charge but finally I got my first notification come through😭
I hope yours work soon because I have been pulling my hair out for the last few days
Best AnswerThe last time there was a major problem with a Fitbit release was the final straw for me. Once they fixed the problem, I set the Google Play store to stop automatically updating the Fitbit app. I'm still on version 3.37.1 from January. It's stable (at least for me).
Every so often I check back here and in the Play store reviews to see if they have a stable release out yet. It's been 5 months, and counting. Their own forums and the Play store are absolutely littered with complaints about syncing issues. Fitbit flat out admitted to me that they do not monitor for these complaints and bad reviews. It's obvious that even aside from their bad releases, Fitbit has had persistent syncing problems for a long time now.
Normally, I would never suggest running old software, because it can (and probably does) have security vulnerabilities. But Fitbit has had MANY bad releases now. So I told my friends and family to do the same thing I am and stop updating the Fitbit app automatically, and to always wait before updating their device firmware.
I recommended they at least wait 2 weeks after the release, then check here so see if there are announcements about known issues. It seems to take Fitbit that long to admit they have a problem. Once they admit it, it seems like they fix it pretty quickly. Not as fast as they could and SHOULD fix it (by just rolling back to the prior version), but usually within a week.
Best AnswerIs there an update to this? My Versa 2 stopped syncing yesterday (6/23/2021). I've spent hours trying and retrying fixes on multple devices. I tried force quit, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, turning bluetooth off and on (more times than I can count), and leaving it overnight and trying everything again. The watch has lost an hour of time and will not sync any data to my phone or tablet. The problem is with fitbit. Bluetooth will NOT connect. It sees all my devices except my Versa 2 (which had been working fine for quite awhile now). I did go through this problem a couple of years ago. When can I expect a fix on your end?
I am having the same exact problems with my Versa 2 but since 6/21/21. I am losing my mind trying to figure out how to fix it on my own since Fitbit doesn't seem to be responding to our concerns.

Best AnswerI hear you. I have a Samsung 9+ Android phone. It is updated as is my Charge 3 Fitbit.
It appears that Fitbit isn't interested in our "lack of syncing" issue.
Another brand of fitness tracker, with even more features (blood pressure, A-Fib detection and it will send the report to your doctor) is on the way from Amazon.
My Fitbit is older, so I was thinking of upgrading anyway. But I never thought I'd change brands.
This sync issue and how it's been handled so badly, made the decision for me.
I don't see any progress regarding fixing this sync issue.
It's been six days, and they have to be aware of these complaints.
Although, three days into this, I texted with a Fitbit support person. They told me there were no widespread sync issues that they knew of.
I told them to Google the problem and I left the chat.
Obviously, if their support personel aren't aware of this issue, there must not be enough of us with it, for them to fix it.
I have loved my Fitbit.
But when there is no ability to sync and no support, it's insane to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.
JUST got my Sense. Worked for a few days and then I realized I wasn't getting my text notifications on my watch. I don't fear tech and I did everything they suggest to do and nothing.
Really disappointed. I have had fit bits for years with no problems and decided to upgrade only to have this happen.
I'm glad you appreciate my patience, but honestly I don't have any. It just stopped working and it's brand new. I almost went back to a real watch too.
I have a Versa 2 and a Samsung S21 Ultra...everything was perfectly find until 6 days ago when I started acting up. Been a fan of fit bit since it came out and now....well we are all having the same problem so you can imagine. Hopefully they can fix this soon.
