I have been having issues with iPhone also. It syncs most days but it also loses steps as it syncs too. It's strange. I have to say I'm ready to move to an Apple Watch. This is my 4th FitBit and they never last much more than a year. Frustrating.

Having the same issue but I have an Apple iOS phone. What can be done now?

This was posted on June 18th as a temporary problem with at least 2 weeks prior issues. It's now June 24th. What do you suppose the ETA is on a fix?

Your "force quit" fix doesn't work for me. As someone else on this thread noted, it seems that the problem is not with the Android system, but with a faulty Bluetooth radio in the tracker. Right now, I cannot sync no matter WHAT I do, and previously when I noticed that it hadn't synced for a few days, I had been able to get it to sync by clearing the user data from the tracker. That ALMOST worked today, but it never completely finished connecting. This has been going on for me since some time in January:
My Inspire HR was purchased back in September. What do I need to do to get a replacement? It's allegedly still under warranty, whatever good that does for me. (Especially if I'm asked to wait for a fix and it doesn't fix it.)
Also by the way, if the problem is with the tracker's Bluetooth radio, there's likely no way to ever fix this, because it can't sync to get a firmware update, no?

@MattFitbit I know you are working hard and I appreciate it, but it would be helpful to acknowledge that this is affecting iOS users too and that the proposed fixes don't work. That way we are not cycling through useless steps. Then it would be useful to provide an ETA and that Fitibit will push out notifications by email and on this forum once fixed. That would really help so many of us, as we are losing time and Fitbit would benefit from goodwill! Can you do this?

We pay for a premium device, and for a premium subscription service, you would assume it would work properly.
I would expect this if I had ordered my watch from wish, but I ordered from Fitbit instead

Yes, happening on my iphone too, I have tried all the steps customer service recommended but no luck.

Same here, Fitbit said I need to replace my watch and they will give a discount. When I bring up that other people are having the same problem they will not acknowledge that it is a bug on their end.

Same here, I am about to ditch the Fitbit and find another tracker.

Same, I have identified two other watches to go with. I might be persuaded not to if Fitbit would just provide detailed updates!

I must report that I was able to set up (couldn't simply sync) my Inspire HR. I saw someone mention a Fitbit app update, so I went to the Play Store and yes, there was an update available (but I'm also set up to have updates applied automatically, so that didn't make sense). Updated the app. No change, still couldn't connect and sync. Then got the obvious idea to power down and restart the phone. Once I did that, I was indeed able to set up the tracker. And yay -- I can tell the local time again!
Got to wondering if the allegedly "recent" spate of sync problems affecting many people, many different Fitbit devices, and not just Android users, might be a problem with the cloud services. Maybe they got hacked, had hardware or software problems (more likely than hacked, since it's been going on a looong time now), or something like that. At any rate, it's not the most reliable system, IMHO.
All this being said, it's probably just a matter of days until my next round of this insane issue. It's happened at least 3X in June.

I have been through it all, support chat in the app, support chat from their web page, support phone calls, Twitter support, I even went round and round with Google support, since they now own Fitbit,
No amount of force stopping, re-pairing, uninstalling, and clearing cache and data's have worked. Maybe you'll have better luck, but looking back on Twitter support's page they seem to have a similar issue every 4 months or so.

Still isn't fixed, but I get emails telling me how great my watch is with it's new update, and wanting me to shop for accessories,
06-24-2021 08:41
06-24-2021 08:41
Still not working with that (force to stop etc.)
Is there any hope , sync. Is ok but still no notification.
I made a factory reset after that it worked
For a couple hours.
But no notification again.
Do you have any answers?
Thanks Herb

24/6/21. My Charge 4 has suddenly started to sync intermittently. Checked my Android phone and it shows "no device located". Go to settings, turn Bluetooth off and then back on. First item on the "paired devices"? Charge 4. Back to FitBit app and the steps have synced and also the route for my walk today is shown on the GPS map. How long is this crap going to carry on? I really don't want to bin my Charge 4 as it is only a few months old, but if this rubbish carries on, Amazon will be getting another one star review from me regarding this "smart" watch. Admit you've got a problem FitBit and then do something about it!!!!! I only need this watch to keep track of my exercise following bypass surgery in 2019. It's not like I'm in training for a marathon, (although I really feel sorry for any budding athletes who are trying to use this watch for their training!!!!)

Absolute rubbish. Still having problems nearly 3 weeks later. Rebooted the watch, rebooted my Android phone, rebooted my iPad, (Apple) and rebooted my desktop iMac. STILL having problems with the thing syncing.
