Android app draining battery

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have the latest Android app version on my Galaxy S7, and a Fitbit Flex 2. I have the all day sync and always connected options turned off too, but I'm seeing a 15-20% an hour battery drain on my phone. I checked better battery stats, and it shows that is because the fitbit app keeps sending Bluetooth wakelocks constantly, thus draining the battery. If I force stop the app, the issue goes away. Can you please help me resolve this issue?

@parag14 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with app draining your phone's battery. This is odd, I have mine running in the background and hasn't affected the battery. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. The good thing is that when you reinstall it from the Play store it will download the latest version.

Let me know how it goes.

I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarted the fitbit 3 times in a row, and removed and re-added the fitbit to the app already. I'm still seeing this issue. I have to now make sure that the app is force closed after every time I use it to make sure it's not draining the battery.

I have exactly the same (Galaxy S10 plus). If I force stop the app, then screen off battery life is fine again. The app prevents the phone from entering deep sleep mode.

Done all the usual reinstallation faff.
