Android not connecting to bluetooth

I just recently switched from an iPhone to a galaxy s5 and my Surge won't pair to bluetooth. It's connect to the classic, but says it can't communicate with the surge when I try to connect. Is this a glitch or do I need to do something in my settings? I don't know much about androids! I looked at known glitches and it said I needed to have my location settings turned on and I do and it still doesnt work! Help!

Did you let the app connect the device to bluetooth, or use the phone's bluetooth settings to connect? You should always use the app to do the pairing.

Hey @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community! Just as @gdio53 mentioned, if you are going to set it up your Surge, or any Fitbit tracker, it should be from the Fitbit app not from the Bluetooth on your phone.

Let me suggest you to follow the instructions on @AlejandraFitbit post, to set it up your Surge on your Android phone.

Let me know how it goes!
