Android vs Alta

Does anyone know if the Alta is compatible with the LG G5 Android phone? Also the description of the Alta says that it is showerproof although I've seen posts saying not recommended for the shower...any comments?

Hi there @Kat1320, welcome aboard to our Community. This device is not yet in our list of compatible devices. Nonetheless when a tracker is not on our list, not necessarily means it wont work. Is just that the mobile device has not been fully tested by our development team to guarantee all the features will work. Here is the example that was kindly shared by @Lia1 on this other post.

I have a phone which is not on our list either and so far I haven't found any issue to sync my tracker. In addition to this, remember that you can sync using a computer too, if you are worried your Alta won be able to sync your information.

Hi there @LesleyJW, as you will find in our help site too, the Fitbit Alta is shower proof as you are referring, since the Alta does not have an altimeter where the water can get inside the electronic components. But do not swim with your tracker, since despite the water cannot get inside the Alta it wont stand the swim strokes.
