I am trying to run the app on a Huawei P10 running android 9 EMUI 9.1.0. It downloads fine and syncs with my fitbit. However, the next time I come to use it, it crashes on startup. I can delete it and download it again whereupon it works, only to crash again the next time I try to open it.
I have tried the force stop, delete, reboot, download procedure and also changed the battery optimisation setting to not optimised. I was told by Fitbit support to turn off a setting called Background restrictions or Background limit but this doesn't appear in my Android menu as far as I can see (maybe it is called something else).
I can see that this is a common issue from the forum but haven't been able to find anyone who has solved the issue. Can anyone help?

He is probably referring to power management.

Thanks for the reply. I can't find a setting with this name either. I have tried turning off the automatic app launch management option under "power plan". This has worked for other problem apps in the past but doesn't seem to.make a difference to fitbit.
