Fitbit app not working on huawei phone that doesn't have google "GMS"

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I do not think that not having Google GMS is the root cause of this issue, therefore, can you please share with me more details about the issue you're experiencing with the Fitbit app? Are you unable to install it or it doesn't open? Does it crash when you open a tile? More information will be appreciated.

I am having the same issue on my Huawei Nexus 6P running Android 8.1.0.
I followed your instructions, now when I try to log into the Fitbit application it just displays "Please wait..." for the last half hour.

I rebooted my phone. Now, I am back to the fitbit application keep flashing "fitbit keeps stopping ...".

I received an update to the Fitbit application and firmware for my watch, this morning. The application is working now after applying the update.
The update maybe related to the Covid-19 monitor feature, I signed up for before the application stopped working.
