App still shows that I reached previous weight goal

Hi all,

I have an issue with the app still showing that I reached my previous goal, instead of my new (lower) goal progress:

I have clicked new goal and set a new goal multiple times but it will not go away and show my current progress. It also gives me the goal weight reached badge every day even though my goal is now 66kg.

I tried a bunch of solutions I found on here, logged out and back in, cleared cache, changed some settings via the website, but nothing works. The progress now sometimes shows up very temporarily, but with no data:

How do I fix this?

Hi, @Isapansy welcome to the community. Have you updated the Fitbit app on your phone? Currently 4.03. I've noticed a few reports of glitches on non-English settings for the app. Have you compared your results with an English setting?

Under normal circumstances, I would expect your steps to correct a minor glitch. I suggest you sync your device with the app, delete the Fitbit app, restart your phone & reload the app.

Let us know the make & model of your phone & OS.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply!

I actually used to use the app in English but had the same problem, it just reset back to Dutch when I logged out and logged back in yesterday.

I just deleted the app, restarted my phone and reinstalled the app, and so far nothing has changed except for the fact I now can't get my fitbit to connect via bluetooth 😞

Forgot to add: I have a Samsung Galaxy S22+ currently on Android 13, One UI 5.1

I did just manage to connect my fitbit again via Bluetooth, but the weight goal issue stays.

Hi, @Isapansy, are you using a PW2? if not which device are you on? Has your Samsung had an update recently?

Let us know.

I'm using a Versa 3.

My Samsung's last update was on October 22nd, but the fitbit app hasn't shown the correct weight goal progress since way before that, it hasn't been correct since I've updated my goal.

It also still gives me the goal reached badge every time I log weight even though my current goal weight is 66kg and my current weight is around 69kg. So it's like it's not recognising my updated goal weight. It does work on the website dashboard though:

Hi, @Isapansy, thanks for the update, you might like to review this thread from the "Versa" board the issue reported there is similar to your's. I suspect the root cause is that the new Fitbit app is not playing nicely with your Samsung. My experience does not extend to Samsung devices so it's difficult to suggest anything other than the Fitbit app resets.

I'm sorry I cant be more helpful.

I'm stuck with this annoying badge also, it should go away once viewed, I tried going to chat for support in app and calling, they keep telling me they can't remove this, oh I hope this is not true!  I want this removed!!!  It should be redone to disappear once viewed, it is so frustrating,  hoping my reply may get me help on this
