Badges not registering despite relevant data being recorded

I climbed 80 flights worth of altitude the other day, I didn't even get the 10 floors badge despite them all being logged in the same two hour period in the morning. 

Similarly I did stair climbing recently too, actual stairs, the watch counted 50 floors, in the morning...

Pixel 2 with Fitbit software, which stores the data of floors ascended just fine, but ignores them as data for badges. 

What's up?

Unfortunately, there's been an issue with the floor climbing badges that has been on-going for awhile now.

As far as I know, the team is aware of the problem. However, we haven't seen any updates as to when the issue will be fixed.
