Hi there @CassidyMiller, welcome aboard to the Fitbit Community! I'm wondering how are you tracking your GPS activity, are you using MobileRun from the Fitbit app or Connected GPS from your tracker?

Also let me know in which way is not syncing your exercise, there are discrepancies on your data? Is the map not showing after you complete the exercise or is not syncing in general?

Make sure of the following:

  • Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and your tracker is connected (paired) to the phone.
  • You selected an exercise type from the Exercise menu that has a gear icon in the bottom left corner. The gear icon represents connected GPS.
  • GPS is turned on for the exercise type. Tap the gear icon and make sure the Use Phone GPS setting is on.
  • Your phone is within about 20 feet of your tracker.
  • Your phone can identify your location and can track your location when you're not using Wi-Fi.
  • The Fitbit app is open on your phone or running in the background. Do not force quit the Fitbit app.

f you're still having difficulty, try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Open the Fitbit app to reestablish a connection with your tracker.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.

Hope this helps. See you until the next time.

Hello,

My Bluetooth is connected and paired with My fit bit. The gear icon in the RUN setting of workouts has ON in the "use phone GPS". Everything on the fitbit app seems to be syncing(steps, calories, challenges, etc.) But when i click RUN in the workouts on my Blaze, it reads "phone not found". I can still start the workout, which will track time, steps, miles, calories, but will not give me a map or any of the other data i get when connected with GPS. I've tried resetting everything. There was a big issue with battery drain as well, but I turned off the all day sync and it seems to have corrected that issue. I've read in a few forums that there are issues with the samsung galaxy S8 and Bluetooth.

Hello @CassidyMiller, thank you for keep me posted about the symptoms you are seeing while you trying to use Connected GPS.

There are a few reports about the stability of the Galaxy S8, since it might present some issues with the set up workflow or with notifications, however I haven't seen any case related to the GPS feature but it might be related to the subject.

Allow me to recommend another post that might give you some additional help. The post can be found here and it was kindly share by @bcalvanese.

Also try to restart and clear the cache of your Fitbit app by following the recommendation I posted here.

See you later and take care.

GPS connected is definitely not working with the Samsung s8. In the compatibility page, GPS connected is not listed for the s8.

Any idea when we could expect the feature? A bit disappointed, it's the whole point of the blaze for me...

Thank You! I was starting to feel like I was losing my mind! I tried
EVERYTHING and the feature still wouldn't work. I do hope the issue is
resolved soon. Like you, this was the defining feature of why I purchased
the product in the first place.

I'm having the same issues also.

Apparently we are all waiting for Samsung to fix it like waiting for the next ice age...

I have tried everything...  Battery drain and notification issues persisting no matter how I reset and replace devices...

I'm having the same issues. Notifications won't push and GPS won't sync. Alright Fitbit, the S8 has been out almost half a year now. When will this be corrected?
