Blaze compatible w/ note 7?

Will the fitbit blaze be compatible with the galaxy note 7? I know it took awhile for the blaze to have an update for the note 5, I'm just wondering if it will take about the same time to get an update to where I would be able to read my texts and calls.

Hi there @Sruiz13, good to see you in the Community! 🙂

Currently, our team should be doing the pertinent tests to ensure it's compatible but right now, we don't have an estimate on when it will be officially compatible. If you know of someone who has that device, you can ask them to download the Fitbit app and try it out just to see if it works.

Anything else, let me know, I'll be happy to help!

I have the note 7 as well and the blaze doesn't sync with the app unless the location is on. My location is always off, so this is a problem for me.

U have to do the whole fitbit setup again unfortunately, not just
installing the app. And then turn ur location on.

@Mahelet thank you. I uninstalled the app, unpaired my device from the phone and I also shut down the blaze for about 5 sec and turned it back on. Now everything is working fine. I'm able to read my texts.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has all the hardware requirements (awesome looking phone) to be a supported device but is currently not on our list of supported devices. This, as mentioned earlier by @FerdinandFitbit, means that our Android team has not yet tested it for compatibility and added it to the list. If the device supports BLE (AKA Bluetooth 4.0), I recommend giving the setup flow a try.

If that does not work, I suggest setting up and syncing via a device listed as supported or using a computer. Our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list, so keep an eye open for updates!
