My Fitbit Blaze is up and running fine. Fully synced. I had it set up to respond when my Galaxy Note 8 would receive a call, it worked well but has since stopped working. Any suggestions.

Thanks for sharing your experience on the situation. I'd recommend that you try to follow these steps to help your Blaze get the notifications.
This could be happening because the Note 8 is currently not on the supported devices list, this cause some optimization issues like that one that you have experienced.
As long as a phone fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a chance that it will work as it did, but we are not able to guarantee it. The steps I shared above should still help as other users have mentioned how they were able to get it to work with phones not on the list.
There is a Note 8.0 on the list, but that refers to a tablet released a number of years ago.
