Bluetooth connectivity keeps dropping out

Hi I've recently changed from iPhone to Oppo R11S which uses Android op system. My fitbit Bluetooth connection keeps dropping out & calls & texts are also not coming through on my fitbit even when it is connected.

Hi, it's great to see you around the Community forums @Bookworm22

I understand you've been experiencing trouble to sync with your Oppo R11S and to receive notifications as well. I've checked the list of compatible devices, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find this specific phone model, I've seen only the Oppo R1S, Oppo R1L, Oppo R1K, the Oppo Find 7 and Oppo Find 7a. The compatibility could be reason why you've finding difficulty to sync.

However, some users have reported that they were able to sync with non compatible devices. I recommend that you follow the steps listed below, they have been useful to other users:

I hope this helps.

Hi thanks for your reply. I tried the solutions suggested without success .I spoke with my phone provider who thought that maybe the Fitbit is using 2G network which was switched off in Australia last month.

I have noticed on my Bluetooth settings there are 2 Fitbit connections. One is Fitbit & has the normal Bluetooth symbol next to it. The other is Bluetooth Classic, which is my watch & has a very odd symbol next to it. It's a square with a vertical line (looks like a handle)  sticking straight up from the middle of the square. I also notice my Bluetooth option on my watch sometimes disappears from settings. Any suggestions would be great

Thanks for this information @Bookworm22, here you can find information about other requirements to sync: How do Fitbit devices sync their data?

The Bluetooth Classic option is the one you would use for the Music Control feature, and the other one you mentioned should be the one you would use to sync your watch.

However, although many users have have reported they are able to sync with devices that are not currently listed as compatible, unfortunately it can't be guaranteed that syncing and other features will work properly in this case.
