Caller ID showing previous caller's name

When I receive a phone call it used to display who was calling, now it displays the same contact all the time. So if My husband is calling me it says my mum's calling me on the fitbit. It's happened 3 times now. And not just with my husband calling. But always says mum's calling.

The device I'm using is a charge original,  and I didn't force the app to quit and then restart which did fix the name for the next caller but then all subsequent colors would then again have that same first name repeated on the notifications.

So in other words it seems that it will except the first color and display that name but then after it doesn't change any color names after that I tried it a couple times and found this to be the case every time . Any thoughts ?

@BlakmumbaThank you!  I can confirm the caller ID and SMS notifications are working as expected after downgrading to fitbit app android version 2.90.  In another post, a user recommended to downgrade to version 2.95 however that did not work for me.  I tested using my Blaze and my wife's Charge 2 linked to a Samsung S9+ and S6.

For those technical users, google "fitbit 2.90 a.p.k." to find the older fitbit app.  You'll need to:  uninstall your fitbit app; reboot your phone; install version 2.90; sign in and setup notifications again; and last, disable auto-update of the fitbit app in the play store.

I find it sad that Fitbit has introduced major bugs into their app and left them unresolved for more than a month.  It says a lot about Fitbit as an technology company. ☹️

Has this been fixed yet? I feel like it's been months. Or maybe it was fixed and now it's screwed up again. My Alta is currently not getting texts and it's saying the wrong person is calling each time. This is getting old

This is getting really annoying, guys! It's been over a month now that we cannot use our Fitbits!

I've written to support a few weeks ago, and all I got was they are working on a solution. please be patient...

I was so happy to see the new update downloading last week, today I got another update, but this problem is still not solved! Weirdly there is a new feature: it shows the missed calls, even more weird is, that it shows the correct caller ID! But when someone calls me, it shows the first person that called me after I reset my phone and fitbit.
I saw that I'm not the only one complaining about this issue. I'm begging you, at least give us an old version (the one before August), so we can use our fitbits! It's been over a month since my fitbit is totally useless! I don't care about my heartrate or my steps (which is inaccurate by the way), but I really need my fitbit to show who is calling me when I'm on the road, or I don't have my phone on me.

Waiting for the solution to this problem!!!

Thanks Blakmumba.  I've tried your fix and so far it seems to work.  However, such a pain in the A**.  Fitbit needs to get it together!!
