Calorie entries not saving on the Fitbit app

Hi Fitbit developers,

The total sum of my calories is off. This has happened for the last 2 days and what happens is somewhere around night time, the total just suddenly drops. Not sure what is happening?

Would attach screenshots but not sure how to do so. But for e.g. yesterday I had 317 cals for breakfast, 992 cals for lunch, and 662 calories for dinner. The app puts it as 0 calories in, 2035 calories out.

Thanks for the tip! I reinstalled a few days ago...but now its like I add foods and it doesnt add to the total calorie sum. Seems like there are multipel bugs going on...

Same, will start looking for a new fitness tracker next week. Problem after problem this year.

Uninstaller and reinstalling seemed to fix this issue for me. I just had to reinstall today's food intake.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, which fixed the problem for about a week. But the same glitch occurred again yesterday, so I'm wondering if it's going to become necessary to periodically reinstall the app to get it to show food logging correctly.

I also initially fixed the problem by uninstalling the Android app and then reinstalling. I noticed the data became desynchronized again today and the only oddity I noticed was that I was able to enter a measurement for a particular food into the app that I could not on the web. I'm wondering if this is causing something to break. Specifically, I was able to enter the quantity for "Onion, Raw" in oz. However, on the web, oz is not an available measurement.

This literally just happened to me after uninstalling and reinstalling the app and I'm so mad, omg.

Been happening to me too off and on for a couple of weeks, now it's a constant issue despite several uninstalls and reinstalls. Calories entered via the android app either don't show or are not accumulated correctly on its different pages, plus they don't appear on the windows app. My only workaround is to enter the food on the windows app, which then immediately appears on the android app and then I have to delete the duplicated entries in the android app.

It's a total pain, and yet another example of a simple feature that worked perfectly before and now doesn't. My Fitbit history is littered with apps not working; perhaps Fitbit should invest some extra cash in a better R&D department or get people to actually *test* the 'updates' they make to their apps before going live with them.

It ain't rocket science...!

Agreed!  It shouldn't be so hard to keep the app working properly. My reinstalled app has stopped again, just as JohnRoberts666 describes.  It is so disappointing when trying to use an app that keeps breaking.  Definitely lessens the usefulness of the Fitbit.  Maybe it is time to switch if Fitbit sees no reason to fix the app and keep it fixed.  All they suggest is uninstall, lose your data, and reinstall the app.
