When I click on "weight" from the dashboard, under goal progress it says I've lost 19.7 pounds since April 2nd, but I got my fitbit on July 9th. Is there any way I can change my start date so that it is correct?

You can do it if you turn your airplane mode on and are not connected to
WiFi. It allows you to go back in time and enter a start date.

You can change the weight loss start date to a prior date (& have it remain as such) on the www.fitbit.comsite. Go to dashboard, hover over the food tile (the one with the plate, fork, knife) and select "See More". Go to the "food plan" tile and select the arrow to the right of that tile and scroll through until you see "Plan Summary". Select "Edit Plan". Find the line that says "Your starting weight was x lbs and was set on Mon Date, Year". Select the edit link located adjacent to that line. Enter the date you want to reflect your start date. Be sure that date has a weight logged (or enter your starting weight). Click save. You may need to log out / in and synch your phone app with your Fitbit device. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the Forums @moonbeach.
I'm afraid I don't fully understand what you are saying. Do you mean to edit your start date again? If so, yes. You can do so with the process that has been shared in this thread.
If that's not what you mean, please elaborate a bit more on it and I'll be happy to help you.
Let me know if here are any questions.

Thank you @reNewOrleans, this worked for me! -the older solutions did not! I had to read it really detailed to find every step, but it did work once I found all the places to hit 🙂 Thanks a lot!
It was this step i struggeled a bit to find; Go to the "food plan" tile and select the arrow to the right of that tile and scroll through until you see "Plan Summary". Only beacuse I was a bit fast I think.

The start date still won’t change using these instructions. Very frustrating.

Hi there, just posting to possibly help other people as I've just resolved this issue for myself.
When updating the incorrect start date, don't forget to then click the next field (in the app) and manually update your starting weight.
Also go back and delete any incorrect measurements of the starting weight near your starting date. Seems a bit buggy but I've resolved mine like this.
Also for those wondering why it won't "let" you go back in time, make sure you select the year first as it won't let you select a date in the future (for example if you're selecting a December 2018 date but the year is still 2019, it won't go forward in time)

Oh thankyou so much I've been trying to understand why my weight was showing correctly on the app and dashboard online but the progress wasn't. I've amended to the correct weight now and its showing the correct weight loss. Yay!
