Can't Sign In With Google

I moved my account a few days ago.

Today, I can't log in to the app (But I can to the dashboard on the web).

I click on sign in with Google. My Google ID shows up, then I get:

Something went wrong - Please Try again.

I have tried it for hours.

I did all the recommendations in other threads (Restart phone, clear cache, reinstall app, vpn, etc.) to no avail.

Version 3.83.1.1.fitbit-mobile-38346051

Android Version 13

Latest updates for both.

I read about a version 3.84 being available, but it is not on the play store.

Thanks

How frustrating. If I could I'd give suggestions. Sadly I don't. I'm back and up.  I complained to the Twitter app

I don’t have a Google account. Did they discontinue the old Fitbit password system without notifying users? I called tech support two days ago and they said there was some sort of problem that would be fixed, but I still cannot log in with my Fitbit password.

That's what tech support told me non 6/27 but I still can''t log in.

I tried this. I was able to log in, but I couldn't sync. This is a real mess.

I was finally able to log onto the cell phone app with my Fitbit password, so the problem has apparently been resolved. But it took several days. I didn't realize how much I would miss seeing my sleep score, my workout stats until I couldn't.

It don’t really work

If you're trying to log in with your Fitbit password, try restarting your phone and forcing the Fitbit app quit, then open the app after your phone is restarted. That worked for me.

Glad that worked for you. When mine was down. This didn't do a thing

I did the move a few days ago.  The app on my phone works fine, but I am unable to log in on my Galaxy Tab S2.  I keep getting an error message saying email address or password is incorrect.  My tablet is not on a cellular network - I can only use wifi - so turning off wifi is not an action.  I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the tablet but nothing works.

@fhasterok

If this is the same issue as in late June then Fitbit will not work on your tablet until Google fixes the issue. The issue in late June was that a server glitch prevented anyone from logging in through Google over Wi-Fi. My wife uses a Fitbit login… she had no problems.

This is likely not a problem with your tablet, it’s a problem with the app and/or a server at Google. The functionality of the app has been (at least for me) deteriorating rapidly since June 15.

@petebranch Welcome to the forums. Thanks for reaching out about logging into your account. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your situation. Given that you cannot use another network to try and log in, please just wait for the next app update. This has been reported already and Fitbit is working on a solution. I appreciate your patience regarding this matter.

I switched to my Google account about 2 weeks ago. App wasn't synching so I logged out but when I try to re-login, it doesn't let me.

I already uninstalled, reinstalled, try to sign in with Wi-Fi off and still nothing. When I try to login, it tells me "this account already exists".

App was installed on a Samsung A12

When will a update be available ?

Hi, I have been trying to fix this as well! I logged into my gmail, got the email and signed in from the browser opened in the email app. From this I logged in and it then reconnected me or recovered my Fitbit account. I don’t know if this is useful. For context: I deleted my Fitbit from gmail because I wanted to have a Fitbit account only for adding friends but clearly I’m not allowed 😂

Same problem.  4 days ago Firbit Sense would not sync with phone.  Tried everything as mentioned above.  3 calls to service tech.  Still waiting for email.   See up additional Gmail because other one that I use was not being recognized.   Still no sync with phone.  Watch still works.
