On the new app, on Android on a pixel 7.

The Edit Exercise panel allows me to properly edit Date, Start time and Duration, but the keyboard is not showing up when I try to update the Activity.

@Lilbiddy I started a new thread titled "unable to edit activity" and was chastised for it and told there was already a thread about this and that it was marked "answered" so I started a new one. She said starting a new thread won't change anything and that they are already working on a fix. I call BS on that because this has been an issue since September.

wow, you are so lucky.
For many of us no update has been released fixing this problem.

congratulations 👏

After the Sunday comment that it had been fixed, I tried updating some of my recent activities shown as Sport. I was able to now access the keyboard and I was able to save the correct activity. Maybe we are getting the functionality back we lost last September.  I have not get tried to see of the maps have returned, will check later. Great first step to restoration. Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device

That's exciting news for sure,

unfortunately I just tried again to edit an incorrectly auto recognized
exercise and still no keyboard/unable to edit entry.

Perhaps they are deploying the required update in a staggered fashion for
Android mobile devices.

Still can’t edit my workouts but something has changed because I logged a 19 minute swim while drying my hair this morning. That’s a first! 🤦🏽‍:female_sign:

Okay so we can forget about it! Ain't gonna change so that's the real answer!

It looks like they might've changed something in the backend so that data is returning to the drop down so that I can now edit exercises that I tagged as workout and change it to my own use defined ones like Hockey Goalie for example.

It's been many months.  Any idea when this problem will be fixed?

I just updated the app from Google Play and now I can edit the Activity of most of my exercises (both auto detected and manually started) . But I wasn't able to change it on my last Walk. Maybe because the walk was GPS mapped? I don't really want to change that one, so I'm satisfied.

Oh FINALLY the engineers figured out how make the keyboard appear so we can
finally edit incorrectly auto recognized exercises.

Now I just have months of entries to got back to and correct.

Thank you Google-Fitbit for finally doing your jobs.

Yes, sorry about that I was so shocked they fixed it I neglected to
indicate how. I checked the Google app store as people mentioned and there
was a 23MB update for the Android Fitbit mobile application that Indeed
fixed this bug after so many months of other updates and lack of
communication from Fitbit.

I would keep checking for updates and when one installs force the Fitbit
app to close than reload it.

best of luck 🤞

Hello everyone. I just got the update as well and can confirm that we can edit exercises again in the Android app. I will have to check if the iOS app has the fix with the latest update as well.

I went to try to change the exercise type on my logs and I was able to rename them successfully. First attempt took me two tries for the new name to save, but all other changes were applied on the first attempt. However, please note that one is only able to edit activities that were automatically tracked by the Fitbit device. If you have not gottent he latest app update yet, I ask for yur patience. Updates are rolled out in waves and every user will soon receive it.
