On the new app, on Android on a pixel 7.

The Edit Exercise panel allows me to properly edit Date, Start time and Duration, but the keyboard is not showing up when I try to update the Activity.

Same. In spite of the issues with the Fitbit app issue not having been fixed, I’m staying with my Sense until it dies, then we’ll see. Every exercise I do is either hockey, skiing, swimming, dancing, or biking. They all usually get tagged as Sport. I know what I did those days so I can deal.

I wish mine got tagged as sport. I play basketball on Thursday nights, and
my previous gen of Charge correctly, automatically pinned the start and
finish. My new Charge tags it as a run, and if I forget to manually stop
it, it includes my drive home as part of said run, and there's nothing I
can do about it. I've had many Fitbits over the years, and none ever did
that. It's actually impressive how much worse this is than previous
devices. Google is going to have to do some work for me to ever buy a
product like this from them again.

Sad to say “impressive how much worse” sums it up

My Sense is the first series, bout it when it first came it 4 years ago. So before Google ruined the brand.

It's bonkers that it senses me traveling 3 miles in 5 minutes without taking a single step and determines, "Oh yeah, this looks like a run!"

I wore my Fitbit while riding my jet ski on the lake.  It was a bumpy ride.  Was amazed how many steps I took after that ride was done.

Yes, and there are some screens now you can’t get out of without closing the app completely. They are missing the X.

Yes my driving is quite often reported as “Outdoor Bike”. Used to be a function I thought to put in driving as an exercise so it doesn’t count the steps. Not now. Now I’m getting free exercise and I feel guilty about it, I don’t even know why, I shouldn’t.

Any news when a fix is coming? The issue reappeared 3 months ago in a late August update.

I check every time I select sport but can't change it.  I'll keep trying but not holding my breath.

Best Answer

Definitely don't hold your breath as it will likely be for an eternity.
