On the new app, on Android on a pixel 7.
The Edit Exercise panel allows me to properly edit Date, Start time and Duration, but the keyboard is not showing up when I try to update the Activity.

In the surreal world we live in I just got a request for a customer satisfaction survey. Unfortunately there wasn't a check box that said whether i wanted google to actually read and respond to forums. Hey Google, user forums aren't a replacement for customer support.
I have a new Pixel 9 pro and a year after you said it had been escalated it still does not work. I went road cycling today and it guess it was mountain biking, with no milage. I can edit the activity and enter the milage , hit save and it completely ignores me! This is my first android phone after many years on iPhone, the Nexus 5 being the last one, is this really the standard of response on bugs I can expect?
I used to be able to edit my exercise but it no longer sticks.
For example, I used to be able to change WALK to MOWING LAWN.
Now it populates the field win MOWING LAWN but after I hit SAVE it comes back to WALK
PIXEL 6, ANDROID V14, Versa3, Fitbit version 4.25.2.fitbit
I have the same Fitbit app version on a Pixel 6a with Android 14, and wear the original Fitbit Sense. I was previously able to change the exercise name from "Mountain Bike" (all bike rides now appear as Mountain Bike, even though I haven't stopped road bicycling) to "Mowing lawn". Now, the Fitbit app changes my edited "Mowing lawn" back to "Mountain Bike" (or sometimes to "Outdoor Bike") when I press "Save". So frustrating that my app shows incorrect data.
Nope. It logged my VR workout yesterday as mountain biking. Only thing I can do is update miles that I allegedly rode 🥴. There is a VR Workout ap you can download from fitbit ap store to your watch. Up until recently it would sync to my fitbit ap as aerobic workout. Then I noticed last night that it only logged 19 minutes of 221 Intense Activity minutes as exercise under the Activity on dashboard. I only know how long workout was because if I click on active zone minutes it shows how long my heart rate was up. So there goes my workaround for tracking VR workouts automatically.
I resolved it by getting a Garmin. I know at one point their sleep tracking wasn't as good but they have updated. There are challenges, way better tracking and I have made more health improvements then I ever did with Fitbit. I wanted to tell you if there customer service/ support was better but in all honesty I can't, because I haven't needed it. I bought mine on sale and it was more than my fitbit admittedly but I got what I paid for. I have no complaints about it. When I left fitbit, the app would have 3000 more daily steps than the watch even if I kept syncing. I couldn't edit my incorrect workout or trust any of the data. We buy these items to record data, if it's all incorrect, it's wasted money. So paying a bit more for an item that functions has been worth it. I hope fitbit fixes this but, it's been well over a year. If you bought yours recently, you could try and get your money back. They have no business selling something that they know hasn't funtioned as advertised for over a year.
Today is November 1, 2024. Fitbit updated their app yesterday and still did not fix this. Guess their priority was to fix the things that aren't broke and ignore the things that are. I don't really think they are working on this.
I don't think they support Fitbit anymore. They bought it to get the technology to use in the Pixel watch, which they want you to buy. Anyone know how many people switched from Fitbit to Pixel? Is this strategy successful?
Not for me it hasn't been. I bought the Fitbit over the pixel watch for the battery life. 6-7 days vs 1 is a no brainer. I wanted the sleep tracking and the pixel watch is useless for that if you have to charge it every day. Plus I don't need yet another thing to charge every day.
