I was able to finally set it up, but I had to uninstall and reinstall the app as well as restart my phone. I couldn't update the app from within the app. Hope this helps.

In general android apps are updated through the play store, not through the app itself
Yes ocaisionly an app won't update through the play store and removing it is the way to get around this .
Sometimes gig to the play store through the web also will work.
Glad your setup @HaakonP .

I have a new versa and it will sync and allow notifications to show up (most of the time). However, it will not allow phone calls to come through. It does not notify me at all. I thought it was an issue with the versa I had and fitbit sent a new one. Still having the same issue. I set the versa up on my wife's phone and it works just fine. No issues. Is it some setting on my phone? Please help!

@big_red_8187 if some notifications come through but others do not, yes the problem is with the phone.
First thing, since it has been attached to your wife phone, let's tell the Bluetooth on your wife's phone to forget or remove your Versa.
The problem it's in the sending of the notification,
On the app is phone Notifications been set for the right phone app?
Have you checked the permissions for the Fitbit app?
Another thing to try is on the notifications settings page of the Fitbit app.
Tap the three dots in the upper right, disable notifications. Now let's go back a page and turn on phone notifications. This will force the app to step you through the process of setting up notifications and step you through the phones needed permissions.
@MRob it would be the same way any other app on your phone is updated.
Go to the play store, tap the hamburger menu on the top left, any app that has an update will show at the top.

Rich_Laue I tried everything you said. It still is not working. I double checked my permissions, reset everything and restarted both the versa and my phone. Still did not work. I am getting my text notifications and other notifications, but not my calls.

@Woodywoodpecker if your on the setup screen, I'm assuming that your firmware hasn't been installed.
Does the app show that your Versa is connected to your account?
If not you will want to remove the tracker from your phones Bluetooth.
Also do you get any errors?
Where you able to enter the 4 digit code into the Fitbit App?

App was installed on phone. Bluetooth on phone shows connected to Versa2. Did not see screen requesting 4 digit code.

I'm assuming then that the tracker dies not show up as a device in the Fitbit app or here. You will need to remove the tracker from the phones Bluetooth. The app will not be able to search for Thatcher if it is a trusted device.
Now start the app up, log into your Fitbit account and perform an Add Device.
