Cannot unlock with phone

I follow the instructions to do so but "Unlock" does not show on screen (hit today, profile and then supposedly an unlock screen prompt is supposed to show - it doesn't). I have restarted the watch and reinstalled Fitbit on my phone - I can't do a factory reset because the watch won't let me swipe. Aaaaargh.

Sounds like the process you are following is slightly wrong. Here's a copy from the help files:

@Paddy1950 we use the fitbit app to setup a new unlock code. Then this new code is used to unlock the Sense.
