Hi there, @Jo_Jo_99! Thanks for joining the family and for letting me know what troubleshoot have you tried. Please go ahead and restart the tracker at least 3 times in a row and then:

  • Turn on the bluetooth and open the Fitbit app.

  • Try to sync the tracker to your account from the Fitbit app, not the Bluetooth Settings.

  • Please go to Bluetooth settings on your device, select your Fitbit and then tap “forget device”. If the Fitbit does not appear in the devices that the bluetooth has found please let me know.

After this follow the process to set up a new device:

1. Open the Fitbit app with Bluetooth off

2. Tap account.

3. Select Set up a device.

4. Select your Fitbit.

Select the device you have, it will ask if you want to switch or replace, please select replace and

finally follow the ongoing steps please.

Keep in mind that your Fitbit is already on, so when it asks to press and hold the button to “turn it on” you don’t have to, otherwise it will start the clock and will not recognize it or will not give you the 4 digit code.

I hope this gets you back on track, I'll be around. Woman Happy

Hi there, this reply is a bit late after the fact, but I had to try and set-up new fitbit Charge 2's for my in-laws with Samsung Galaxy phones. Like others, I had a lot of trouble pairing the devices with the phones. I finally (after much hair pulling) came up with something that worked:

  1. Find a blue tooth enabled computer with Windows (8 or above - didn't try an Apple PC but might be fine too).
  2. Go to Windows settings/blue tooth. Move away from any other tracking devices, 'add device' and when Charge 2 comes up, connect to this. It may take a few attempts and you may have to disconnect other devices.
  3. Download the fitbit app for Windows, sign in or create a new account.
  4. Go to setup a device/tracker and go through the steps - may take a couple of attempts.
  5. During setup it should ask to update the fitbit software - let it do it as this is important.
  6. Once all this is done and the fitbit is setup. You can go to the computer's Bluetooth settings and disconnect the fitbit.
  7. Next, get your Galaxy s4 active or Galaxy s3 (the phones I had to setup on) and go to Bluetooth settings, turn it off and on again, when the charge 2 pops up, connect. Again this may take a few attempts. It also helps to tick the box to make your Galaxy discoverable.
  8. Once connected, download the fitbit app, sign in, go to 'set up a device', and follow the steps. The Charge 2 needs to be on (screen on) when you are doing this. It will probably also go back to the setup screen while it is set up again. Note: The app might also say the account is already attached to the Charge 2, but this does not mean the Galaxy is too.
  9. The Charge 2 should now be connected to the Galaxy. If it doesn't work, you may have to look at the trouble shooting steps in fitbit support.

The main thing is I found is setting it up and updating it on another device first, helped. Other than that, you may have to experiment a bit.

Hope this helps people with Samsung Galaxys.
