Charge 2 won't pair with Galaxy s7

I bought a charge 2 today, charged it while I was at work and now I've tried 100+ times to pair it with my Samsung Galaxy S7 with no success. It successfully finds my device and gives me a pin but when I type it in it fails to pair everything. Followed the apps instructions with no success. I don't know what to try at this point.

Had a similar issue twice with CHARGE HR and CHARGE 2 on different phones , the way I fixed is I went for a drive, away from all sorts of devices causing interference( probably alot of bluetooth devices in the area). I didn't go very far just to the outskirt of town using mobile data ... and it did the trick, no longer was I stuck in the loop. Hope this helps !

Hey hey hey @yanmerrick, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! Smiley Happy Oh! Sounds pretty bad that you have to returned your Fitbit because it wasn't syncing with your Samsung Galaxy 7. Don't you worry, I will definitely let our developers know about this so they can fix it and improve the Fitbit experiences. 😉

Let me know if you have further questions!

While you're at it, could you let the developers know that everyone hates the horrible new dashboard design. Thanks!

Hello @tiuri, I hope you are doin' fine! 🙂 Oh! Sounds pretty bad that you don't like the new Dashboard. 😞 I suggest you to take a look at this idea on our Feature Suggestions board about having the option to change to the previous Dashboard and leave your vote there so our developers can take a look at it and take it into consideration.

If you have further questions or comments, let me know!

I've had my charge 2 since December 2016 and my Samsung Galaxy s7 longer. I had no problem pairing and tracking my workouts, steps, etc. when I first received it and set it up. Until this last Saturday, May 6th, everything worked great until my fitbit and phone decided to no longer sync. Every time I tried to sync it, it displayed that it couldn't find the tracker. There was a system upgrade recently for my Galaxy s7, but this was about a week or so before it stopped syncing. I cannot even comprehend why it would suddenly stop. I have reset my fitbit by plugging it into a power source and holding down the side button until the fitbit symbol flashes on the screen. I have removed the fitbit app on my phone and unpaired my fitbit, repairing and setting everything up again with no success. I have shutdown and restarted my bluetooth a thousand times and nothing is working. The only thing I can think that has changed recently is the system upgrade to my phone. Fitbit tech support, can you PLEASE figure this out?! I am clearly not the only one that this is happening to. Idk call Samsung and start troubleshooting, otherwise I'm gonna have to throw this thing in the trash and go with a competitor. I've loved it up until now but the tech support for this is definitely lacking. I'd really love to hear that there is a solution for this.

Apparently there is sync issue on Android app only, hope they figure it out. As I said before, I for one can't sync my tracker in the house using WiFi and can only sync while I'm outside using Mobile Data. Why this works idk maybe some of the Devs should look into this.

Hey Fitbit community, I had tried EVERYTHING and nothing was working in getting my Fitbit to resync with my Galaxy s7. I was even having trouble unpairing my Fitbit from my Galaxy s7; i.e. when I tapped to unpair it did nothing. I finally found this Bluetooth connectivity troubleshooting article and it worked! I cleared out my Bluetooth cache, unpaired my fitbit, paired it again and everything has finally synced and is recording data on the Fitbit app on my phone again! Yay! Here's the link to give it a try. Hope it works for everyone since Fitbit tech support was of no help : /

Hi,

I just bought a replacement Charge 2 as the strap on my first one broke. I am trying to pair the new one and it won't get past this same point (Samsung galaxy s7). The fitbit offers a pin and then the app just says continuing. The previous one worked just fine! Something changes on Fitbit's end because my phone can pair to it outsude the app jusy fine! Have the developers been made aware of this problem yet?

I agree! I constantly have issues. Then it will sync a few times then go off the chain again. So annoying.

I got a Garmin which never has issues syncing.

You need to follow my directions in my original post to clear your cache on
your phone for the fitbit. Your phone still has information from your last
charge 2 that is interfering with the syncing of the new one. My
instructions should be at the very beginning of the post you replied to
