Hello everyone.
We understand how this situation can be very frustrating.
As I mentioned before, our team is aware of the situation and it is being worked on. I do want to clarify that the situation is related to pairing the Charge 3 and not generally to syncing.
If you are experiencing syncing issues but your Fitbit is paired, please try to follow the steps listed in this help article.
If you are experiencing the pairing device and have not tried, please follow these steps:

We have tried the steps in the help article multiple times over the last few weeks and we wouldn't always get the smiley face. And even when we got the smiley face it didn't pair/sync. FINALLY, today it worked!!
I only lost the first couple of weeks of data in January. So apparently sometimes it did sync even when it didn't look like it did. My advice is to keep trying to get the smiley face, but don't try too often. There is obviously a glitch somewhere, but I did get it to work again. Keep trying!!

I have gotten thru step 3, but don't get the 4-digit code on my fitbit device, hence not pairing. The current time is 3.5 hours fast. Also, the fitbit is not being recognized by any bluetooth device.

After chatting with Fitbit, it has been determined that it is my Charge 3 that has become faulty and the warranty department will be in touch with me.

Glad you're is working. Is it still? Mine will sync once and then not for several days. When I set up my new Charge 2 miraculously my Charge 3 synced as well. What I don't understand is why it works sometimes and not others.

Yes, it synced a few minutes ago. It was even faster than usual. There must be a bug somewhere that only rears its head periodically.

I've started keeping it on all day sync. It seems to sync better that way.

For whatever reason mine started syncing again over the weekend. No changes to my phone. Android Pixel 2 XL. I'm afraid to update to the latest version of the fitbit app now. 😞

It's getting on my wick one doesn't speak to the other if you DM on twitter the UK support which is a joke right? They seem to think it's my system ask all the obvious questions,yet don't seem to have read this page at all if it was my tablet which it's worked on since I had to buy it not really through choice my reliable Sony SmartBand had broken while away so reluctantly went back to fitbit,at least with the Sony you don't have to keep logging in just a quick swipe with the tablet or phone and it's synced,I've only had this since November and it's stopped a couple of times I've rebooted the devices Install uninstall I've not got time for it I'll just go back to the Sony even the fitbit scales didn't give accurate measurements either so I'm told

Got my Charge 3 in Dec. Was working fine then stopped synching after Jan 29. Now it won't pair with my Galaxy S8 even though Fitbit is working. Lkme yours the time is about 20 mins behind.

Mine is around an hour behind now plus the alarm doesn't work now either and I've tried on the Sony Z3 phone and tablet I asked when I bought it if it was OK with Sony in general and they looked it up and said yes,I paired it with the Z4 tablet which fitbit say it's not compatible with,if that's the case then why did it pair with it and no problems to begin with? They are selling expensive digital watch really which isn't even right for the time

It is so frustrating that the charge 3 so rarely syncs. It is NOT just a pairing issue. I have noticed that while the charge 3 is refusing to sync on a windows laptop, bluetooth devices shows the charge 3 connected - paired - connected - paired, over and over again. So it briefly connects but immediately disconnects. I honestly think that the Fitbit app is part of the problem. Even the charge 2 is less reliable now.

They certainly don't seem to read the comments as they blamed my Z4 said it wasn't on the list of being compatible,then how come when I brought it did it set up? This was November I've got two Z3 one being a tablet other phone doesn't work with these either even though it's on the list? I have looked for updates on the devices and oddly everything is up to date? I have found with this company they are very quick to send out replacements but don't actually fix the issues, I'll be going back to the trusted and reliable Sony SmartBand,it's only because of being away at the time and not being able to find the replacement of Sony that I went back to the fitbit,never again no point when they can't sort technical issues
